Dales Bros have extensive knowledge and experience in the disposal of all catering, restaurant, bakery and butchery related equipment.

We hold a regular monthly auction of these assets from our Riverhorse Valley (Durban) saleroom. These auctions are held monthly on the 3rd Saturday of every month, in conjunction with the Plant and Machinery and Auto auctions. Where appropriate, on-site auctions are held and auctions of the entire contents of restaurants, butcheries and hotels across the country are conducted regularly.

Our extensive database of buyers are timeously notified of these auctions via our comprehensive electronic communication (E-mail and SMS) service and the more conventional print media.

Catering Equipment Auction Details

  • Held month on the 3rd Saturday of the month
  • Viewing from day before
  • You will require a R1000 cash deposit and your ID or drivers license and proof of residence to register.
  • Buyers commission 17.1% (incl VAT) up to and including R10,000, thereafter 11.4% (incl VAT) on any one lot.
  • FICA requirements apply to every sale. The rules of the auction comply with section 45 of the Consumer Protection Act, Act 68 of 2008
